 Louie’s Booties started as a gift to help a friend, Jeff, who can no longer wear shoes due to the muscle atrophy in his feet. Being a diabetic, his feet would get so cold when he went out in the winter. So I made a pair of extra warm booties for him. Now he is so happy to be able to get out and not have cold feet.
One day when Jeff went on a regular appointment with his Podiatrist, the nurse commented how great his booties were and whoever made them should go into business. When I showed the booties to my doctor he commented that besides being warm they are soft and not binding which would be great for diabetics who have problems with their feet. |
